Lunch at Pasar Oleh Oleh in Bintan.Pasar Oleh Oleh is a tourist 'village' in Bintan. Things there are slightly cheaper than the resorts. However to get there you must take a cab from your resort. So the smarter way is to book a spa there so that they'll provide you with free transport to and fro the 'village'. You can shop around/eat after your spa.
Food wise, not bad, better than the resort's. I find indonesian style of cooking very flavorful. So be ready with lots of water cos there's a bit of 'msg intoxication' after each meal. But the food is quite tasty if you like strong flavors, chili and lots of marinated meat.
I can't remember what this dish is called but it has beef, chicken, some pumpkin, tempeh and tofu. also comes with beef stew. Costs around SGD11.
Much cheaper than the resorts!
